In August, some neighbors and friends got a team together to participate in an all-women, non-competitive cycling race, called Venus De Miles. There are over 2000 riders in this event.
Our team,The Eastside Rita Riders,(named for our neighborhood Eastside of Old Town and our shared love of a certain cocktail) made the cover of their newsletter, and graces the cover of their facebook page! I'm so proud of these ladies, and so thankful to have such a great circle of friends! Great motivation to get some rides in to train for next year.
